Oak Panelled Staircase

This staircase was originally enclosed behind a stud wall with access at the bottom via a discreet door (see below) . It had always been used as a secondary access to the upper floor. Our client enquired if we could give the rather old and shabby staircase some careful attention and improve its visual asthetics.

To the clients delight, we did just that! With some considerable thought and precise measuring, we set about transforming this tired staircase by giving it a solid oak handrail and balustrade, carved newel posts, and rustic quarter sawn solid oak panelling to its underside.

The staircase was then hand polished to enhance the sheer beauty of the quarter sawn oak, and show the quality of our workmanship.
